EMS Training Programs
Group Espada has been a leader in highly realistic tactical training programs for Law Enforcement and Military operators for over a decade. Our programs are well known as critical performance accelerators, that vastly enhance the foundational skills of our students. We are proud to announce the expansion of our legacy training programs to now support EMS practitioners and operators.
EMS Small Unit Tactics
All EMS training programs (EMR, EMT, AEMT, Paramedic, etc.) are focused on preparing the individual practitioner to provide high-quality pre-hospital care. This program builds upon those clinical and academic foundations by introducing the concept of EMS Small Unit Tactics (EMS-SUT). The program is extremely challenging and specifically designed to increase the effectiveness of small EMS teams to manage, control and direct patient care in a highly coordinated, effective, and dynamic manner.
As with any Group Espada program, EMS-SUT is not for the meek or hobbyist. This is a challenging program that incorporates tactical mindset, immediate action drills, operator psychology, scene management, situational stressors and much more to allow two-to-six person teams to operate as an effective force multiplier in the pre-hospital setting.

EMS Tactical Operator I
EMS support of and integration with Special Operations Teams (SOT) is vastly increasing. The Group Espada EMS Tactical Operator I program is designed to evolve the core skills of the EMS Professional whil also helping to establish a foundational knowledge of tactical operations and practices.
This program is extremely challenging and focused on assuring that graduates are capable of responding to and with SOTs. Attendees are advised that the failure rate of this program is extremely high due to the challenging pace and content.
HIPAA for EMS Professionals
HIPAA requires that all personnel who interact with patient (personal and healthcare) information must review HIPAA standards, cybersecurity and privacy best practices as well as demonstrate an understanding of the current threat landscape and proper management of a patient’s personal identifiable information (PII) and patient health information (PHI).
HIPAA for EMS Professionals is based on the HIPAA Privacy and Security Rule (45 CFR Part 160 and Part 164) and designed to help EMS agencies meet their annual security awareness training obligations.
